01Start from the JPEG you already have
Open a JPG or JPEG export of your own poster, label, product graphic, or presentation image. Its lettering is part of the pixels, not an editable text layer. RetextImage replaces one selected area; it does not turn the entire JPEG into a document or recover the source design. PNG input is supported too.
02Choose an area with a flat background
Select the complete word or short line, including punctuation and any outline you want to cover. The controlled editor fills this rectangle with a single color before drawing the new text. It is suited to clean labels and flat graphics. Text over a photo, gradient, or textured background may need the original file or manual retouching.
03Set the replacement text and font
Enter the new wording and choose a bundled font, size, color, and alignment. Use the background color control to match a solid area around the old word. Local mode accepts one line of up to 64 Latin characters. Font choice is manual; exact font identification and AI background reconstruction are not provided in this release.
04Review before keeping the change
Inspect the original and edited images side by side, then check letter edges, spacing, background seams, and nearby details at 100%. The editor checks decoded pixels outside the approved rectangle against its decoded source. JPEG compression or normalization in the input cannot be undone by saving a PNG.
05Save the edited image as a PNG
Download your local result before closing the page. The PNG has the edited image dimensions and contains the replacement pixels. It is not a JPG export, layered design, recovered font file, or searchable document. Local work remains in the current browser page unless you download it.
