MAKE ROOM FOR THE CHANGE

Give your replacement text enough room

Choose a useful edit boundary without sweeping neighboring details into the change.

The edit boundary is a real boundary

The selection is the part of the image you are authorizing the editor to rebuild. In local controlled mode, the entire rectangle is filled with your chosen background before the new text is drawn. That means a line, icon, texture, or shadow inside it will be covered too.

Review the visible outline before confirming. In a cloud mode, the actual processing footprint can differ from your initial drag, so the plan shows the effective area that requires your approval.

A selection that is too tight leaves problems behind

A box that clips a character can leave an old stroke outside the edit. A box that barely surrounds the current word may not give a longer replacement room to breathe. Include the full height of the letters and their visible effects.

Look for descenders, accents, punctuation, outlines, and shadows. A short-looking label can extend below the baseline or beyond the visible main strokes.

A selection that is too wide changes more than you intended

Avoid including nearby labels, product edges, decorative rules, or a change in background color. The local solid fill does not know which parts of the selected rectangle belong to the old word and which parts are artwork.

When the word is too close to another element, a rectangular replacement may not be a good fit. Consider editing the source file, changing the composition, or using a tool that lets you mask a more precise shape.

Plan for the replacement, not just the original

WINTER and SUMMER have the same number of letters, but their actual widths can still differ in a given font. Replacing a short price with a sentence is a much larger change. Compare the measured result before deciding that it fits the layout.

Use the pixel coordinate controls to adjust the box precisely when pointer dragging is awkward. The local editor treats the top-left coordinate as included and the bottom-right coordinate as the edge beyond the editable pixels.

Review at two scales

First view the whole image to judge composition. Then inspect the edit at 100% to check letter edges, background seams, and nearby details. Show the edit area overlay when you need to understand why something inside the boundary changed.

If something outside the approved area changes in a saved cloud result, report the job from its project page. If the problem is inside the boundary, refine the selection or the chosen background before making another preview.
