How the editor handles local work, cloud projects, and account information.
Service information. RetextImage is operated by Pengju, LLC. Local editing runs in your browser. Cloud editing, Google sign-in, and payments use the providers described here.
Local editing
Opening an image in the local editor decodes it in your browser. The editor uses the image, selected rectangle, replacement text, and font settings to create a PNG. It does not upload the image to a server for local processing. Download the result before leaving the page; local edits are not saved to your cloud projects.
If you choose to sign in from a prepared cloud draft, the editor may save that draft in this browser’s IndexedDB to preserve it through the sign-in redirect. The draft includes the image and settings. It is removed when the editor restores it; drafts older than 24 hours are discarded on the next editor visit. Clearing this site’s browser storage also removes the draft.
Cloud editing
When cloud editing is enabled and you choose to review a cloud edit, the service uploads your image and processes the selected region and requested text. Account records, asset metadata, job status, credit events, and feedback support that workflow. Private files require account authorization and short-lived access links.
This deployment uses Vercel for hosting, Neon PostgreSQL for accounts and project records, Cloudflare R2 for private images, Google for optional account sign-in, and Stripe for payments. The database is in US East (Northern Virginia); the private image bucket is in Asia Pacific. Local editing does not upload images. Cloud controlled editing processes images on the server. Experimental AI style matching is disabled; no image is sent to a GPU model in this release.
Storage and deletion
The default retention for cloud images is shown below. Deletion removes access in the application first, then queues object removal. A previously issued short-lived link may work until its expiry. Downloaded copies are outside the service’s control.

You can request deletion of a project’s stored images from its project page. Limited account, payment, credit, and operational records may remain where needed for reconciliation, security, or legal requirements. This development preview does not promise deletion of required financial records or copies you have already downloaded.
Model training and result feedback
Local editing does not send your image to an AI model. Saving result feedback does not automatically grant permission to use your images for model training. A future research or training program would require a separate, explicit choice. Experimental AI style matching is not enabled in this release.
Cookies and analytics
When account authentication is configured, session cookies keep you signed in. With your permission, Google Analytics uses cookies to measure visits to public pages on retextimage.com. Analytics is not loaded before you choose Allow analytics. You can decline or change your choice using Analytics preferences on a public page. We disable advertising personalization and enhanced measurement, exclude editor, account, billing, and project pages, and send public page paths without query strings or fragments. We do not send images, replacement text, account identifiers, or private signed URLs to analytics. Hosting providers may still keep ordinary request logs.
